When not exploring new food spots, you’ll find me at Central Park playing with stranger’s dogs & missing mine back home. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, traveling & I’m always down for a late night ice cream run! 

Fell in love with NYC during clinical years and excited to be back for the next 4 years!

AMADO ESTRADA FERNANDEZ

Cuban born and raised.  I grew up on my grandparents’ farm, which is probably why I love nature, hiking, and plants. Like a true Cuban, I love to dance salsa.  If I'm not working out, exploring, biking, climbing, or sampling different types of food, I'm probably napping.

 My favorite hobby is numismatics.  I already have paper money from 160 countries around the world. After a medical mission trip to Guyana, I became passionate about international medicine, global health, and international education.

I was born in Alexandria, Egypt but spent my childhood in Lebanon and adolescence in sunny Southern California. I’m a beach and animal lover, with a knack for exploration. I love to scuba dive and do water sports. I love road trips and have been to 38 states and 14 countries so far with many more on the bucket list. I have a loveable dog that accompanies me everywhere and enjoy spoiling my family and friends with delicious baked goods.

I'm originally from Westchester, NY and moved to NYC during my med school clinicals. I enjoy exploring restaurants, cooking, hiking, tennis, and watching films (the scarier, the better). I love living in this city and am pumped to be staying here for residency!

Originally from Florida, but lucky to call Dallas & Chicago “home” over the past few years. Proud shibe mom to the best girl, Riley Rue. Absolutely thrilled to be in constant close proximity to pizza & bagels (and my entire extended family) as a NYC transplant the next few years! In my free time, I enjoy exploring new cities & local cuisines all over the world, taking long walks with my dog, photography & making fun videos, and spending time outdoors. I am extremely excited to finally begin my career in Emergency Medicine here at Lincoln! (…mostly so I can re-ignite my extravagant travel habits & support my dog’s lavish lifestyle — kidding!….?)

From Hyderabad, India. I grew up a navy brat so in true fashion never stayed anywhere for more than 4 years. Being at Lincoln I get to break that streak and call New York home. Worked as a script writer for film and media prior to med school. So, heads up if I weave you into some story of mine. Love formula 1, making a passable meal mixing and matching stuff from Trader Joe's and travel whenever the forces of my wallet align. Goals for the next few years, be less directionally challenged with the subway and find the best cookie in New York.

I was born in Queens but I’ve lived in Texas and Northern California most my life. Excited to return and call the city my home again. I’m always up for a friendly competition. My favorite games include chess and poker. 

My other interests include EDM, weightlifting, animals, roadtrips, hiking, and Harry Potter (proud Slytherin!)

NICHOLAS SHAUGHNESSY

Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. I did my clinical rotations all around NYC and am excited to continue to live and work in the city that has become my new home. In my free time I love to rock climb, surf at Rockaway (and elsewhere), play soccer, go to concerts, have epic park days, create my latest Spotify playlist, learn new languages, get into nature, and pretend to know stuff about wine. I'm passionate about public health, ultrasound, healthcare policy, global health, wilderness medicine, physician wellness, and the Green Bay Packers.

ARTHUR SWITZER

Undergrad: University of Texas at San Antonio

I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved deep in the heart of Texas while in middle school. When not cheering for the Yankees or the San Antonio Spurs, I enjoy playing guitar, longboarding, and discovering fauna on ‘No Man’s Sky.’ I am thrilled to be doing my emergency medicine training in the Bronx, my first rodeo.

Originally from the vibrant city of Beirut, I’m an avid aerospace and engineering enthusiast who loves diving into new scientific topics and research. A passionate Formula 1 fan, I’m always up for watching a Grand Prix (consider that an open invitation)! Outside of my academic interests, I enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors. I’m also vegan and love cooking for friends and loved ones. Professionally, I’m deeply drawn to emergency medicine and plan on pursuing fellowships in aerospace medicine, critical care, toxicology, and ECMO.
